Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry can improve the appearance of your smile, but good cosmetic treatment is never only about looks. At Montrose Dental Care, we plan cosmetic treatment with your oral health, function, comfort, and long term goals in mind.

Thoughtful cosmetic care, planned around the whole person

Cosmetic dentistry includes treatments that improve the appearance of teeth and smiles, but the best results come from careful planning, clear communication, and an honest understanding of what is possible.

We know every smile is different. Some patients want a brighter smile. Some want to fix wear, crowding, spacing, or old dental work that no longer looks natural. Others want a more complete plan that improves both appearance and function. Our role is to help you understand your options and build a treatment plan that makes sense for your goals, your timeline, and your overall oral health.

  • "I’ve been going to Montrose Dental for a few years now and have had great experiences with everyone there. I’ve gone in for cleanings, had cavities filled, and also going through an Invisalign program to straighten my teeth for the last year or so. Very kind, skilled, and competent staff and would happily recommend to anyone."

  • "I can't explain how happy I am that I started this whole process with an incredible dental office. The staff are first class and overall awesome! I regularly drove +5000 kms to get back for my dentist appts, driving from eastern Canada. This last appt was more than worth the drive. I can finally bite again. They made sure I had a dog bowl and treats for my whole day appt so my service dog would be comfortable. They even provided a blanket to lay on for her. There isn't a place in Canada, that I wouldn't drive back to Montrose Dental Care for an appt. YOU ROCK!!!!!!"

What Cosmetic Dentistry Can Help With

Patients consider cosmetic dentistry for many different reasons, including:

  • teeth that look stained, dark, or uneven in colour

  • chips, cracks, or worn edges

  • spacing or crowding

  • old fillings or restorations that are visible or no longer match

  • teeth that appear uneven in shape or proportion

  • a smile that feels tired, aged, or less confident than it used to

  • more complex situations involving wear, breakdown, or multiple concerns at once

Cosmetic treatment is not one size fits all. The right approach depends on what is causing the concern, what condition the teeth are in, and what kind of result is realistic and sustainable.

See below for our cosmetic related services as well as some of our favorite cases. All cosmetic procedures begins with an obligation free and complimentary consult.

  • Professional whitening can brighten your smile with either in-office treatment, take-home whitening, or a combination of both. Your current site notes in-office whitening with Opalescence Boost and custom trays with at-home gel for maintenance, as well as custom take-home whitening options.

  • Smile design is the planning process behind cosmetic treatment. It looks at tooth shape, size, proportion, symmetry, colour, and how your smile fits your face.

  • Clear aligner treatment can improve crowding, spacing, and alignment in a way that supports both smile aesthetics and function.

  • Veneers can be an option for selected cases where changes to shape, colour, surface appearance, or proportion are desired.

  • Tooth coloured materials can be used in some cases to repair chips, reshape small areas, or replace visible restorations.

  • In some cases, cosmetic improvement also requires rebuilding damaged or missing teeth with restorations that improve both appearance and function.

  • When a tooth cannot be saved, or removal is the best next step for your health, we provide careful treatment and clear guidance.

  • For more complex cases involving wear, breakdown, missing teeth, bite issues, or multiple failing restorations, comprehensive treatment planning may be needed to rebuild the smile more fully.
